How to Submit a Music Transcription Request on PaidTabs (Step-by-Step Guide)
Step 1: Search for Your Song
Go to our Music Transcription Service page and you can either upload an audio file directly or paste your YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, or TikTok link into the search bar.
Example: Type “Fur Elise – Beethoven” in the search bar and hit Search.
If it’s not already transcribed, you’ll see “Available Upon Request.” Click Request Now to start your order.
Step 2: Choose Between Regular or Rush Request
You’ll be asked to choose how you’d like to submit your request:
- Regular (Free) – Your song appears on the public requests page for musicians to send offers.
- Rush ($5.00) – Your request is highlighted, gaining faster attention for a quick response and fast delivery.
Step 3: Set the Duration and Song Details
Choose whether you want the entire song transcribed or just a section by setting start and end times.
Step 4: Choose Tracks and Instruments
Select the instruments and parts you’d like to include:
- Lead Guitar
- Rhythm Guitar
- Vocals
- Drums
- Piano
- Bass
- Ukulele or Banjo
You can also choose Easy-to-Play, Include Chords, or Add Tuning, Key, and Capo options.
Custom Arrangement
Select this if you want the music adapted for a specific setup or instrument, for example, if the original piece is for guitar but you want it transcribed for violin instead.
Sync with Audio
Enable this to perfectly align the notation with the original song’s audio (available for Guitar Pro 8). It helps you follow timing and rhythm in real time while the song plays, making practice easier and more precise.
Step 5: Choose how you’d like to receive your score
PaidTabs support the following file formats:

- MIDI – For use in digital audio workstations
- Backing Track – Ideal for practice
- Sibelius or MuseScore – For notation software
Step 6: Set Your Budget
Set your preferred budget, the system suggests a minimum and recommended price based on song length and complexity.
A higher budget usually brings, faster delivery (within 5-24 hours).
Commercial Use Option
If you plan to use the transcription for commercial purposes, make sure to check the Commercial Use box. By selecting this option, you obtain full commercial rights to use, distribute, and sell the transcription. Without enabling this option, your usage is limited strictly to personal or educational purposes.
Step 7: Invite Musicians
You can invite specific transcribers or make your request public. Each musician profile includes:
- Ratings
- Reviews
- Musical styles (jazz, metal, acoustic, etc.)
- Sample works
You can either make your request public or limit it to invited musicians only.
If you enable “Show my request only to invited musicians,” your request will be visible only to the specific transcribers you choose. This option is ideal when you prefer a private request or want to collaborate exclusively with certain musicians.
Step 8: Submit and Confirmation
Once you publish your request, it appears on the musician dashboard. You’ll receive offers shortly after submission.
